Korean Novelas Addict

I am a self-confessed addict of Korean Novelas lately. I loooooooove Princess Hours, Full House, Started with A Kiss etc. etc. I noticed something common with the casting and plot though.

Lead Girl + Lead Boy = Marriage
Friendship Girl is a great threat.
Friendship Boy is so adorable.

Lead boy has either an ex- girlfriend or like someone so much. But he is too proud to admit it. And so he ends up with Lead girl. Lead girl on the other hand is naive, a little helpless and not so rich. And then Lead boy will appear in her life.

Lead boy is a high hat. His pride is bigger than him. He doesn't want to wear his heart on his sleeves. He usually brings pain to Lead girl, whether intentionally or not. But deep inside him, he cares for her. He doesn't want to accept it. He gives her a hard time. But then sometimes he is misunderstood. His way out - He doesn't know how to express himself.

Lead girl is usually angelic, romantic, desperate at times and naive. She has a pure heart. She is waiting for her prince charming. She is always honest with how she feels and expresses it. She knows how to show her feelings. She is submissive. She loves Lead boy from the beginning. Her mission is to make him love her. But that doesn't stop there. She also has to make him say it to her.

Friendship girl does not want to be with Lead boy in the beginning. But later on, she will realize the value of Lead boy and will go after him. Pushing her luck that he is still attracted to her, she will pursue the Lead boy and will make the Lead girl feel that she is the other woman. She has to get him back!

Friendship boy is someone close to the Lead boy. He will witness the not so good treatment of Lead boy to Lead girl. He will appreciate Lead girl and will work his way to her heart. She will be close to him and this will alarm Lead boy. Friendship boy is usually a gentleman, caring, handsome, and understanding man. He is always rescuing Lead girl. He seduces Lead girl with his kindness. He has to save her from the heartless boy!

Hmmm... So this seems to be the formula...haha
